Op 20 mei geven wij twee concerten in de prachtige Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg: “Memento mori” en de vijfstemmige Lamentaties van Lassus. In de nieuwste editie van het Elbphilharmonie Magazin staat een interessant artikel – “Troost en vergankelijkheid: waarom muziek uit de Renaissance zo diepgaand en persoonlijk aanvoelt, zelfs vandaag” – van Helmut Mauró, in verband met onze twee concerten.

Dans la dernière édition de l’Elbphilharmonie Magazin, on trouve un article intéressant – « Consolation et fugacité : pourquoi la musique de la Renaissance paraît si profonde et si personnelle, encore aujourd’hui » – de Helmut Mauró, en lien avec nos deux concerts.

Journée de la polyphonie : diffusion sur Klara le 22 février
Le dimanche 22 février à partir de 10 heures, la station de radio belge Klara diffusera « Dag van de Polyfonie », une journée consacrée à la polyphonie franco-flamande. Les animateurs de Klara, Mark Janssens et Nicole Van Opstal, émettront en direct de la Maison de la Polyphonie à Louvain et rendront un hommage festif à la polyphonie. L’émission comprendra également une interview de Mark Janssens et Paul Van Nevel.

Dag van de Polyfonie: uitzending op Klara op 22 februari
Op zondag 22 februari vanaf 10 uur zendt de Belgische radiozender Klara ‘Dag van de Polyfonie’ uit, een dag die volledig in het teken staat van de Frans-Vlaamse polyfonie. De Klara-presentatoren Mark Janssens en Nicole Van Opstal zenden live uit vanuit het Huis van de Polyfonie in Leuven en brengen een feestelijk eerbetoon aan de polyfonie. Het programma bevat ook een interview met Mark Janssens en Paul Van Nevel.

Day of Polyphony : Klara broadcast on 22 February
On Sunday 22 February from 10 am onwards, Belgian radio station Klara will broadcast ‘Dag van de Polyfonie’ - a day devoted to Franco-Flemish polyphony. Klara hosts Mark Janssens and Nicole Van Opstal will broadcast live from the House of Polyphony in Leuven, offering a celebratory tribute to polyphony. The programme will also feature an interview with Mark Janssens and Paul Van Nevel.

Paul's 80th birthday : interview with Klara
We were delighted to celebrate Paul Van Nevel's 80th birthday on 4th February, marking over 50 years as artistic director of the Huelgas Ensemble! Paul remains in excellent health, full of energy, and is planning new musical adventures. Klara joined in the celebrations with an interview with Paul and Mark Janssens.

Paul Van Nevel on his succession and the Huelgas compass
After a career spanning over 55 years, Paul Van Nevel finds himself at a turning point. Over the coming years, German tenor Achim Schulz will gradually take on a larger role within the Huelgas Ensemble. During Laus Polyphoniae, Van Nevel and Schulz will each have their moment: one ensemble, two concerts, two visions. A unique opportunity to witness how a lifetime’s work is slowly passed on, and how early music remains alive in new hands. Julie Hendrickx in conversation with Paul Van Nevel.
