After a career spanning over 55 years, Paul Van Nevel finds himself at a turning point. Over the coming years, German tenor Achim Schulz will gradually take on a larger role within the Huelgas Ensemble. During Laus Polyphoniae, Van Nevel and Schulz will each have their moment: one ensemble, two concerts, two visions. 50 Years Huelgas : Radio interview with Paul Van Nevel.

In 1971, the Huelgas Ensemble performed for the first time in a small room above Leuven's cult café De Blauwe Schuit. Five decades on, Paul Van Nevel and his companions are still as undisturbed as ever to perform the finest Renaissance polyphony from monastery archives and libraries.
